POETRY

Poetry is derived from ancient Greek word  (poioe) which means “ I create”.
Poetry is considered a literary art form. In poetry, special focus and attention is given to express feelings and ideas by using unique style. Poetry artistically renders words in such a way as to evoke intense emotions. William Wordsworth, the famous English poet defines poetry as “the spontaneous outflow of powerful; feeling, which takes its origins from emotions recollected in tranquility.” (Kirszner & Mandell, 2012).

Some of the famous poems are :
“All the world’s a stage” by William Shakespeare.
“Daffodils” by William Wordsworth
“Hope, is the thing with feathers” by Emily Dickinson
“Alone” by Edgar Allan Poe
“Still I Rise” by Maya Angelou

Poetry Technique
